Sigur Ros "Von"

Another album I reviewed on my site was reissued recently: the 1997 debut album by the Icelandic group Sigur Ros, titled "Von". The review is here: http://rarebird9.net/von.html . The CD was re-released in October, on the One Little Indian label, which also gave Bjork's 1990 CD "Gling-Glo" a recent U.S. release.

Re-issue label

I recently discovered a record label called Wounded Bird. They are a CD-only reissue label who have been reissuing out-of-print albums mainly from the '60's, '70's, and early '80's. Their website is located at http://www.woundedbird.com . They have so far reissued three albums that I have reviewed on my website: namely, the Byrds' self-titled album from 1973, and the two studio albums from the late '70's band Detective. They list Mott The Hoople on their "coming soon" page, so we'll see which albums from them get reissued as well. Their "about us" page says that suggestions are welcome as to what albums you would like reissued on CD, and it contains contact information. It will be interesting to see what this company will be offering in the future.

Happy new year!

Hello, and welcome to my nest! This is where I tell the world what is on my mind, in a more relaxed setting than my website. Which, by the way, is located at: http://rarebird9.net More posts to come!
